I hope you all saw the article that was printed in the Dahlonega Nuggett in the May 11 issue - but we had great coverage!  I really worked hard to make sure we had a full line up through summer before the article ran, so haven't done much since. However, now that school is out, I'm starting to line up speakers again.  I just added one for October 3 - Edible Insects!  This was referred to us by the Atlanta Science Tavern who enjoyed Chelsea Thomas's recent talk.  I've got a few more contacts to make in the next couple of weeks to line up additional speakers.

We will continue to meet at Bourbon Street and plan to move downstairs once their patio is enclosed.  Until then, we are limited to 32 per event. Our next event is July 18 when Pam Gore, co author of Roadside Geology of Georgia will speak.  She can bring copies of her book if you are coming to her talk and are interested.  They cost $25.  Just email me in advance.

Our August 1 speaker is another author, Tony Martin, who will talk about Dinosaurs Without Bones. He also will have books available.  I'll send out more information prior to his talk.

If you haven't made reservations yet, please do so!  And continue to watch for information on the website (www.dahlonegascience.org) and on Facebook!

Thanks for your support of Science in Dahlonega!
